Scion Key Fob Replacement — All Models

Find a replacement Scion key

Start with your model year, model and ignition type. A remote key, transponder key, proximity fob and mechanical emergency blade serve different purposes. Compare the product details with your original key before ordering.

FR-S, tC, xB.

Open the current product listings to check available years, key types, prices and stock. A model name alone does not establish compatibility with every year or trim.

Compare the full FCC ID and part number

An FCC ID identifies a radio transmitter; it does not by itself confirm the key blade, immobilizer chip or vehicle programming requirements. Copy the complete ID from your original remote, including its suffix. A mechanical blade may have no FCC ID.

Examples found in Scion listings: HYQ14ACX, HYQ12BBY, MOZB52TH, HYQ12BDC, MOZB41TG, HYQ12BDP, HYQ12BEL. These are examples to compare, not an interchange list or a compatibility guarantee.

Part-number examples in the catalog: 89904-47230, 89904-35010, 89904-47370, 89070-52G30, 89070-42670, 89070-42660, 89070-12380, 57497-CA110. Confirm the exact part and any replacement part-number supersession with a qualified automotive locksmith or vehicle-maker parts department.

Find the FCC ID on your key and search matching listings. Also compare the buttons, ignition type, key blade and vehicle equipment.

Cutting and programming: check before ordering

A replacement remote or transponder key may need programming, and an uncut blade needs cutting. A mechanical emergency blade needs no electronic programming. A shell-only listing does not include the electronics unless the listing explicitly says so.

Ask a qualified automotive locksmith whether they can cut and program the exact replacement for your vehicle. Remote-button pairing and immobilizer programming are different operations. Do not assume a procedure for another model or year will work. Request a quote that separates the part, cutting, programming and any call-out charge.

If the original key is lost

Use the VIN lookup to narrow the vehicle and key options. It does not guarantee the exact FCC ID or part number. A vehicle-maker parts department or qualified locksmith can check the vehicle equipment and required key using the VIN and proof of ownership.
