Who UrbanX is for
UrbanX is a good fit if you drive a 1996–2026 vehicle and want an aftermarket replacement key fob, transponder key or smart key for less than dealer pricing, and you can have it cut or programmed by a locksmith, a dealer or, on some models, yourself. It is not the right choice if you need an original manufacturer (OEM) key, a key that arrives already programmed, or same-day in-person service; a dealer or a local automotive locksmith is better for that.
How we help you get the right key
Every car key listing shows the FCC ID and part number it replaces. Match them with the label on your current key, or use our free VIN lookup and FCC ID lookup guide. Vehicle make and model names describe compatibility only; UrbanX keys are aftermarket, not OEM. If a key does not fit, eligible items can be returned within 90 days.
How our guides are written
Our key guides and buying guides are written and reviewed by Daniel Shnader using our own catalog data (FCC IDs, part numbers, stock and prices), with cited sources wherever a fact comes from elsewhere. Each guide shows when it was last updated.
