🔧 Programming & Key Cutting
This remote requires programming by a qualified automotive locksmith or dealership to sync with your vehicle.
- Before you order, ask a local automotive locksmith to confirm they can program an aftermarket remote for your vehicle; some hardware stores also program select vehicles
- Key blade cutting may be required if your replacement includes an uncut key
- Some vehicles support self-programming — check your owner’s manual
- Most dealerships will not program aftermarket remotes — use a locksmith instead

Confirm the replacement before ordering
Compare the part reference, key type and vehicle equipment. For a remote, also check the FCC ID and button layout. A matching FCC ID alone does not establish full compatibility.
Cutting and programming requirements vary by vehicle and key type. Check the vehicle owner’s guide and confirm the required service with a qualified automotive locksmith before ordering.

Which version do I need?
HYQ1512V remotes are used on several Lexus and Toyota models with different part numbers (for example 89070-53531 or 89070-60801) and different transponder chips (4C or 4D68). They are for turn-key ignitions. Match the part number and blade of your original key.
Can I program it myself?
No on-board programming is available according to multiple sources. An automotive locksmith or dealer has to cut and program it.
