Restore Your Honda Key Fob
This is a replacement remote head key shell case for select Honda vehicles, including the 2009 Honda Accord. If your key fob casing is cracked, worn, or broken, this is a straightforward and way to repair it. Instead of purchasing a whole new key, you can simply move your existing internal electronics, battery, transponder chip, and key blade into this new housing.
Simple DIY Installation
No reprogramming is necessary as this is a shell only. The installation is simple:
- Open your original key case.
- Transfer the internal circuit board, battery, and transponder chip (if present) to the new shell.
- Carefully move your original, pre-cut key blade into the new housing.
- Snap the new shell together.
This process lets you keep your original key blade, avoiding the need for a locksmith to cut a new one.
